Rebecca (Becky) Katzman Gorelick

Born: c. 1900 Died: September 5, 1941

Emigrated from Russia to Omaha, NE as a young child with her mother and siblings. Daughter of Louis and Esther Katzman. Married Sam Gorelick. Worked in the grocery stores with her husband. A gentle and beautiful woman. Won a Queen Esther contest at the Shul around Purim. Died at age 41 following surgery for a hysterectomy from an embolism; she never regained consciousness. Her parents never reconciled themselves to her death. Buried in the South Omaha section of Fisher's Farm.
