Bennett Cyril Fishbain

Born: November 26, 1925

Born in Omaha, NE. Son of Hyman and Pearl Fishbain. Grew up at 1533 Grant Street. Attended Lake School and Central High School. Worked at Reed's Ice Cream Parlors, Dave Hosman Restaurants, and the Martin Bomber Plant during high school due to his father's illness and death. Enlisted in U.S. Navy and served on an LST out of New York Harbor; discharged April 1946. Graduated from Northern Illinois College of Optometry, May 1948. Married Zena Gorelick on December 21, 1947 at the Blackstone Hotel, Omaha. Served as Secretary/Treasurer of the B'Nai Abraham Lodge. Named Nebraska's Temporary Employee of the Year (featured in Midlands Business Journal, October 1993).
